Artist's Comments

This image arose from a small oil painting I did recently, it was a quick watery image of a woman, I waited patiently for it to dry on the canvass and then I slapped it onto the scanner bed and played with filters and layers until I arrived at this point.
Most friends and family who have seen it aren't all that impressed with it...but for some reason its one of my own personal favs, perhaps its because I have a morbid phobia of death!? The pale lady looks so serene with her head tilted waiting for the one kiss that conquers all of Earths creatures sooner or later.

Whoa, that is incredible! The colors are magnificent and blend so well together. I have to agree with you on the woman's serene expression; Death, although not well defined to the eye, is represented well, too, seemingly loomling so close. Awesome job! :w00t: :+fav:

I think it's a nice looking piece. I like the echoing of the pale faces, the angles and all that crazy swirling surface texture, it's all quite creepy and enchanting at the same time.

"I can't help being in love."

Is that what love is?
Some stupid cliche'?

If I could favourite it twice I would! Really original take, and I like that their faces aren't well defined because it still leaves a lot for our imagination to play with. Thanks for sharing!
